General terms and conditions
1) Definitions
Provider: Print Your Vision – Juraj Klimáček (sole proprietor).
Customer: a natural person or a legal entity.
Consumer = a natural person not acting within business activity.
Entrepreneur = a person acting within business activity.
Work/Product: the result of custom 3D printing and/or CNC manufacturing (milling, turning, drilling, and related operations), including possible modeling, adjustments, CAM programming, post-processing, and simple assembly.
Prototype: a piece for verifying the design; it does not have to meet the properties of a series-production part.
2) Subject of performance and technical limitations
We provide custom 3D printing, CNC machining, and related services.
Technology limitations:
3D printing: visible layers, support marks, minor color differences, directional (anisotropic) strength. Unless otherwise agreed, the usual dimensional tolerance is ±0.3 mm or ±1% (whichever is greater).
CNC manufacturing – general: accuracy and surface according to the drawing/specification. If the drawing does not specify tolerances, ISO 2768-1, class m (medium), applies, and general geometric requirements according to ISO 2768-2; unless stated otherwise, the usual surface roughness after milling is Ra ≈ 3.2 μm.
2.1) Specifics of metalworking (CNC)
a) Materials: common steels (non-alloyed, alloyed), stainless/quality steels, aluminum and alloys, brass/bronzes, copper; others on request. Some materials (e.g. hardened/heat-treated steels, cast irons, some copper alloys) may require price/lead-time adjustments.
b) Semi-finished product: may be supplied by the Provider or the Customer. For material supplied by the Customer, the Provider is not liable for defects caused by flaws or inhomogeneity (cracks, internal stresses, hard spots, etc.).
c) Tolerances and GD&T: unless specified otherwise on the drawing, ISO 2768-1 (m) and ISO 2768-2 apply. Critical features (concentricity, perpendicularity, flatness, run-out, profile) must be explicitly indicated with GD&T symbols (ISO 1101).
d) Surface roughness: unless otherwise specified, target Ra ≈ 3.2 μm (milling), Ra ≈ 1.6 μm on important functional surfaces only by agreement. Polishing/grinding is performed only if quoted.
e) Edges: unless otherwise specified, edges are deburred; standard chamfer/break 0.2–0.5 mm. Sharp edges only upon explicit request.
f) Internal corners: minimum radius according to tool; if a “sharp inner corner” is required, a relief groove or geometry modification must be designed.
g) Threads: unless specified, metric ISO threads with standard tolerances internal 6H / external 6g are applied. Other threads (UNC/UNF, pipe, fine pitch) must be explicitly specified. Threaded inserts (Helicoil, etc.) only on request.
h) Heat treatment (hardening, tempering, annealing): ordered separately; may cause deformations and dimensional changes – final tolerances after heat treatment must be considered in design and process.
i) Surface treatments: anodizing, blackening, zinc/nickel plating, powder coating, etc. Coating thickness changes dimensions – tolerances and masking must be defined in advance. Color/texture deviations within the supplier’s usual limits are not defects.
j) Measuring and quality: standard internal inspection (caliper, micrometer, gauges). On request FAI/parts list, CMM report, or 100% inspection – subject to surcharge and lead time impact.
k) Cleanliness and preservation: parts are delivered deburred and degreased to assembly cleanliness (not “technical cleanliness class X”). For metal parts, packaging with VCI/oil against corrosion unless agreed otherwise.
l) Liability for use: for safety-critical applications (e.g. pressure, medical, aerospace), a written agreement on standards, tests, and liability is required; otherwise, parts are intended for general use without certification.
m) Certificates: material certificate 3.1 and measurement reports available on request (may be charged).
3) Order and contract
a) Customer sends an inquiry with documentation (3D model/STEP/DXF/DWG/STL, drawings with tolerances, quantity, material, surface, intended use).
b) Provider sends a quotation with indicative lead time and assumptions (material, tolerances, surface, packaging, transport).
c) The contract is formed by confirmation of the quotation by e-mail. For complex orders, the Provider may require an advance payment.
d) By sending the inquiry/order, the Customer confirms that they have read these Terms & Conditions and GDPR/cookie policy.
e) Changes and cancellation: changes after confirmation may affect price/lead time. If an order in progress is canceled, the Customer shall reimburse proven costs (material, machine time, programming, tooling).
4) Material and semi-finished product
a) Material may be supplied by the Provider or the Customer. For Customer-supplied material, the Provider is not liable for quality, inhomogeneity, or defects caused by material flaws.
b) Yield and waste: standard production scrap, test pieces, and jigs are not part of the delivery unless otherwise agreed.
c) Tooling, fixtures, NC/CAM programs remain the property of the Provider (not released without special agreement).
5) Price and payment
a) Prices are set individually depending on material, printing/machining time, complexity, programming, and post-processing.
b) Payment exclusively cashless by bank transfer to the account stated on the (advance) invoice. Cash is not accepted, not even for personal pickup.
c) Invoice due date is 14 days unless otherwise stated. Work starts only after payment is credited in case of advance invoice.
d) We are not VAT payers – prices are final, VAT is not charged.
e) Shipping/courier/packaging are not included in the price unless otherwise agreed.
6) Delivery, acceptance, and transfer of risk
a) Delivery time is agreed individually.
b) Delivery: in person, by post, or courier. For personal pickup, the order must be paid in advance.
c) Upon receiving the shipment, check the packaging; in case of damage we recommend photo documentation and a record with the carrier.
d) Acceptance: the work is accepted by signing the delivery note, confirmation by e-mail, or acceptance/payment without reservation.
e) Risk of damage passes to the consumer upon receipt. If transport is arranged by a carrier not proposed by the Provider, risk passes to the Customer upon handover to the carrier.
7) Liability, suitability of use, and IP
a) Input documentation (models, drawings, tolerances) is the Customer’s responsibility. The Provider is not liable for errors resulting from incomplete or incorrect documentation.
b) For functional/critical parts (strength, temperature, pressure, safety), the Customer must carry out their own suitability tests; the Provider does not provide certification or warranty for use in safety-critical applications unless agreed in writing.
c) The Customer declares that by using the documentation, no third-party rights are infringed; the Customer is liable for any infringement.
d) The Customer grants the Provider a non-exclusive license to use the documentation to the extent necessary for performance; the Provider shall maintain confidentiality and use it only for performance.
8) Claims and conformity warranty
a) Obvious defects must be reported without undue delay, recommended within 14 days of delivery (without prejudice to the consumer’s statutory rights). Notification should include description, photos/measurements, and order number.
b) Claims do not apply to:
– defects caused by faulty documentation or improper use,
– typical features of 3D printing (layers, supports, minor color differences),
– property changes after thermal/chemical/UV exposure outside intended use,
– deformations after heat treatment or surface finishing if no compensatory operations were agreed,
– damage after acceptance.
c) Claims are handled without undue delay; for consumer contracts no later than 30 days after filing.
d) For acknowledged defects, the Customer is entitled, depending on the nature, to free defect removal, a reasonable discount, or re-manufacturing of the part.
9) Withdrawal from contract (consumer)
a) For custom manufacturing, the consumer has no right of withdrawal under § 7 par. 6 letter c) of Act no. 102/2014 Coll.
b) Production starts only after the consumer’s explicit consent to start production and confirmation that they acknowledge the loss of the right of withdrawal.
c) If exceptionally goods not made to order are delivered, the consumer may withdraw within 14 days of receipt; return costs are borne by the consumer.
10) Force majeure
